General Radiography (X-Rays)

Purpose

The radiographer will decide what views are needed based on the clinical history written on the imaging request completed by your referring doctor.

Preparation

No specific preparation is required. If you are pregnant it is important to inform the Radiographer before you have any X-rays taken.

Procedure

There is a wide variety of X-rays that can be taken. Radiographers will guide you during the procedure to enable them to produce optimum diagnostic quality images.

After Procedure

There are no post-procedure side effects and you may continue normal activity.
